Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is recruiting a Safety Manager (Maintenance) on behalf of a Louisville-based provider of conveyor and material handling solutions. This in-office, hands-on leader will own company-wide safety programs, ensure OSHA compliance, reduce risk across engineering, manufacturing, and field installation teams, and drive a proactive, accountable safety culture. Reporting to senior leadership, the role leads audits, training, incident investigations, workers’ compensation, and safety metrics tracking to strengthen performance, reliability, and safety across operations.

How You'll Contribute

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety programs and policies
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and execute corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases and return-to-work programs
  • Facilitate safety training for manufacturing and field installation teams
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
  • Track and report key safety metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting)
  • Partner with operations and project teams to integrate safety into project planning
  • Promote and reinforce a proactive, accountable safety culture across the organization

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of safety leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting field installation or project-based operations (highly preferred)
  • OSHA 30 certification (required); CSP or ASP certification (plus)
  • Proven experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Strong leadership, communication, and training facilitation skills
  • Ability to influence culture, partner cross-functionally, and hold teams accountable
  • Located in or able to work on-site in Louisville; in-office collaboration required
