Why This Role Matters

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioner to join a well-established nonprofit healthcare organization in the Inland Northwest. In this role, you will work within the Respiratory Therapy Department at a major medical center in the Spokane region, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of varying acuity levels. This is a full-time night shift position (36 hours/week) based in Spokane, WA. Relocation may be possible for the ideal candidate. Salary range: $65,089 - $104,850. Visa support is not available.

How You'll Contribute

  • Participate in planning and implementing respiratory care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Operate and maintain ventilatory support systems, resuscitation devices, and other respiratory care equipment.
  • Perform patient assessments, assist with diagnostic procedures, and provide oxygen therapy and other respiratory interventions.
  • Complete departmental and unit-specific orientations, and adhere to current respiratory care protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient status, therapy effectiveness, and care adjustments.
  • Maintain required documentation in line with hospital standards and respiratory care policies.
  • Uphold patient-centered, inclusive care practices within a diverse workforce and patient population.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Must hold a valid Washington state Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Completion of educational coursework/training that meets certification, license or registration requirements for respiratory care.
  • Ability to work night shift reliably (36 hours/week).
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment.
