Why This Role Matters

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the floating team covering NICU, PICU and core respiratory therapy services in a top-tier children's hospital setting in Spokane. This is a full-time night-shift role (36 hours/week) where you will collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to deliver advanced respiratory care, operate complex ventilatory systems and monitoring devices, and perform diagnostic procedures and oxygen therapy in a dynamic pediatric and neonatal environment.

How You'll Contribute

  • Operate and maintain ventilators, resuscitation devices, and other respiratory equipment.
  • Perform patient assessments, support diagnostics, and plan respiratory care interventions in consultation with the care team.
  • Float between NICU, PICU and core units, adapting to varying patient care needs.
  • Complete departmental and unit-specific orientation to assure proficiency and compliance with standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Active Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner License (required upon hire).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Strong clinical judgment and a compassionate approach to pediatric and neonatal care.
  • Proficiency in ventilatory support systems and critical care respiratory procedures.
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment capability.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with physicians, nurses and care teams.
