How You'll Contribute

  • Communicate with clients to understand operational needs and clearly explain technical issues
  • Manage and coordinate field activities for electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, maintenance, and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot field issues and implement solutions with project teams
  • Direct and coordinate technicians, contractors, engineers, and site personnel
  • Conduct site walk-downs to document existing electrical, instrumentation, and power distribution systems
  • Support development and validation of as-built electrical and instrumentation documentation
  • Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) for electrical and power distribution systems
  • Work with project managers and senior engineering leads to maintain schedule, quality, and budget
  • Prepare and submit field reports, project updates, and technical documentation
  • Travel approximately 75%, including air travel, as needed
  • Assist in developing electrical and instrumentation design deliverables (preferred)
  • Support development of logic diagrams, cause-and-effect matrices, and functional descriptions (preferred)
  • Assist with PLC and HMI programming development and testing (preferred)
  • Participate in additional FAT activities as required (preferred)

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and practical field experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, and customer interaction skills
  • Proficiency with electrical and power systems up to 480 VAC
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Ability to evaluate installed systems against approved electrical designs and troubleshoot field issues
  • Detailed understanding of panel wiring and field wiring diagrams

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and relevant electrical standards

  • Preferred: Experience using AutoCAD for electrical/instrumentation drawings (site layouts, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, conduit/cable schedules, schematics)
  • Preferred: PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Preferred: HMI systems experience (GE iFIX, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, or AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with electrical protection relays (SEL, Multilin)
  • Preferred: Experience with data historians (Canary, PI, iFix)
  • Preferred: Knowledge of industrial control system communication protocols
