We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst IV to join a growing Medical Economics team within a major healthcare organization. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to support key financial and clinical analytics initiatives. Candidates located in CST or EST time zones are preferred; those in PST must be available to work early hours to align with business needs.

How You'll Contribute

  • Serve as a lead analyst for large, complex healthcare datasets from various sources (claims, member data, provider data, HEDIS, pharmacy, and more).
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve operations and support business decisions.
  • Perform advanced SQL queries and data modeling for financial modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.
  • Create and optimize tables, stored procedures, and indexes for performance.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal data reporting requirements.
  • Mentor junior analysts and assist in workload distribution.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (economics, statistics, public health, actuarial science, healthcare admin, etc.) OR 9+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with large-scale databases, data verification, and data management.
  • Strong SQL expertise with complex JOINs, SELECT statements, and stored procedures.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (Power Query, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formula nesting).
  • Experience with healthcare analytics including Medicare/Medicaid/Marketplace data.
  • Familiarity with payment methodologies (DRG, APC, EAPG).
  • Experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Pivot).
  • Knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
  • Previous success in Medical Economics, actuarial analysis, or consulting roles in managed care is highly valued.
