Corporate Tax Manager (Provisions) — A prominent professional services firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager with a specialized focus on ASC 740 tax provision work. This hybrid position requires in-office presence at least two days per week in New York City, Melville, or Iselin. The ideal candidate will bring robust corporate tax experience in complex, multi-state, national, or global environments, as well as recent public accounting experience from a top 15 or large regional firm. In this leadership role, you will drive client tax engagements, oversee provision and compliance processes, and serve as a mentor to junior staff within a collaborative and development-focused workplace.

How You'll Contribute

  • Manage end-to-end corporate tax engagements, maintaining timelines and budgets
  • Prepare, review, and audit ASC 740 tax provisions and corporate tax compliance documents
  • Supervise and develop junior team members; provide structured feedback and evaluations
  • Identify tax-saving strategies and assist in growing existing client relationships
  • Conduct in-depth technical tax research and assist during audits
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships as a trusted tax advisor
  • Utilize tax software, including OneSource Tax Provision, for compliance and reporting
  • Stay current with industry regulations and uphold confidentiality standards
  • Participate actively in internal training and knowledge-sharing programs

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA license (New York) or JD with active law license
  • 4-7+ years in corporate tax, with a strong focus on ASC 740 provisions
  • Recent public accounting experience at a top 15 firm or large regional firm
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or international companies
  • Strong command of US GAAP and corporate tax regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Steady employment history preferred
